This relatively young sport consists in descending a river, swimming with a gear very similar to scuba diving. Leaning upon a special PVC board with handles and using flippers you can run through the river waves and rapids like the best “boogie-boarders” After a short course about signs and safety and some practice, an experienced guide who speaks English will lead you along the best line. It is a total and intense immersion in the river waters.
No previous experience is required to do the “soft” run. All you need is being accustomed to being in the water and not fearing it.
The “extreme” run requires previous experience with hydrospeed or with any other white water sport, so that you are aware of your physical conditions and your reaction to powerful waters.
